Pilates

What Pilates is all about:

Pilates teaches awareness of breathing and the proper alignment of the spine, head and shoulder blades. It involves strengthening of the deep intrinsic abdominal muscles, which are particularly important to alleviate and prevent back pain. Some of the benefits of practising Pilates are: that you become stronger, leaner and more able to move with grace and ease. All exercises are developed with modifications that can make a workout safe and challenging for a person at any level. It is recommended by Doctors, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors as one of the safest forms of exercise available. It was developed for the purpose of injury prevention and rehabilitation. It is crucial that each client, is coached by a highly qualified instructor.

All class sizes are limited & classes are run by a Chartered Physiotherapist so you can feel comfortable to progress at your own pace.

Pilates

Monday morning Beginner's Pilates This class is an introduction to Mat Pilates. It is designed to teach the Five Basic Principles of Pilates. It is suitable for complete beginners & those recovering from injury or illness.

Time: Monday mornings 10:00am to 11:00am
Cost: €75 for a package of 6 classes to be used within 8 weeks
Intermediate Level 2 This course is for people with a minimum of 6 months regular attendance of Pilates Mat class and who have a good general fitness level. Props such as Pilates Ring, Bands & toning balls are used to increase the challenge of the Essential Matwork Exercises.

Time: Thursday mornings 9:45am to 10:45am
Cost: €75 for a package of 6 classes to be used within 8 weeks
Beginner/Fundamental This class is an introduction to Mat Pilates. It is designed to teach the Five Basic Principles of Pilates. It is suitable for complete beginners & those recovering from injury or illness.

Time: Thursday mornings 11:00am to 12:00pm
Cost: €75 for a package of 6 classes to be used within 8 weeks
