Who am I? What do I believe? Am I living authentically in this life of mine in relationship with others and myself?

I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, couple counsellor, psychotherapist, nurse, colleague, neighbour, ……. And yet am so much more than these roles that I play. Over the years I have engaged in a search for the real me, this search at times has been painful and scary, and yet also has been enriching and strengthening.

My belief is that we are all as human beings intrinsically lovable, powerful, and possess great value. My work and my life experiences lead me to believe that we can lose our sense of our own unique identity as valuable human beings as we struggle in relationship with ourselves and with others, no matter what the cause of the struggle.

My goal in my work with clients is to support them with compassion and understanding as they see themselves more clearly in their life situation at the moment, and begin to discover their own unique way of being, and of dealing with life’s challenges. The way that I work is largely person centred, and can be short term or long term, depending on the needs and wishes of the client.

I have been working in Counselling/Psychotherapy for many years now, and I welcome any clients, couples or individuals who are finding it difficult to cope with life’s complex challenges.
