I am a fully qualified Physiotherapist and Stott Pilates instructor. I graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1988 with a B.Sc.(Hons) in Physiotherapy. I have been a practising Physiotherapist for many years, initially working in Ireland, followed by The Middle East, England and America. My main areas of experience and knowledge are Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal conditions which provided an invaluable foundation for my training as a Stott Pilates Instructor. Pilates was widely used in the Physiotherapy practice where I worked in America, where I recognised its value as a therapeutic and rehabilitation tool. So, on my return to Ireland I completed my training and certification as a Stott Pilates Instructor at Complete Body Movement in Dublin, the home of Stott Pilates in Ireland. As an Instructor, it is essential for me to educate you the client, about the Five Basic Principles of Stott Pilates. They are the foundation for developing core-strength and stability in a safe environment. I believe the benefits of Pilates are far reaching and accessible across the population with the results for older clients and those new to Pilates being as profound as they are for elite athletes and avid exercisers.
