What Pilates is all about:
Pilates teaches awareness of breathing and the proper alignment of the spine, head and shoulder blades. It involves strengthening of the deep intrinsic abdominal muscles, which are particularly important to alleviate and prevent back pain. Some of the benefits of practising Pilates are: that you become stronger, leaner and more able to move with grace and ease. All exercises are developed with modifications that can make a workout safe and challenging for a person at any level. It is recommended by Doctors, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors as one of the safest forms of exercise available. It was developed for the purpose of injury prevention and rehabilitation. It is crucial that each client is coached by a highly qualified instructor.
All class sizes are limited & classes are run by a Stott Certified Instructor so you can feel comfortable to progress at your own pace.

The aim of the class is to promote correct alignment of the Spine, Head & Shoulder Girdle.
We will focus on strengthening the deep intrinsic Abdominal Muscles & the stabilising muscles of the Spine, Pelvis & Shoulder Girdle in order to promote Spine Health & prevent injury.
This will be a slow paced class, ideal for those who are complete Beginners or recovering from Injury.
