Clinical Experience:
Ciara is qualified with an MA (Clinical) in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy and is accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She mainly works with adults and has 7 years experience working with individuals in a range of settings, including a low-cost counselling centre, private practice and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Ciara also has over 15 years experience working as a Social Care Practitioner and Social Care Manager in homeless services. Through this work, Ciara has developed a compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach to her work and has experience supporting people with diverse backgrounds through traumatic and challenging personal experiences.
Ciara is strongly guided by the principals of Humanistic Psychotherapy, which focuses on the client’s individuality, choice, responsibility and strengths. She aims to provide a safe, supportive and accepting environment in which to explore the client’s current struggles, increase self-awareness and create change in their lives. Ciara uses a range of approaches, including Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Mindfulness, and has training in Body Psychotherapy and Body-Oriented Coaching.

• Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy from Tivoli Institute
• BA in Psychology from UCD
