Cornelia Munteanu

Dr. Cornelia Munteanu, Ph.D – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Hon. Bachelor in Educational Psychology; Hon. Bachelor in Social Work; Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Family Therapy; F.T.A.I., E.C.P., I.C.P., CORU.

I am an accredited member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP). I hold a European Certificate in Psychotherapy (ECP). I am a registered Systemic Family Therapist with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI). I am registered with the Health and Social Care Professionals Ireland (CORU). I hold a doctorate degree in autism from Queens University Belfast.

I have been working with families who are experiencing a range of difficulties since 2001 in both, the public and private sector in Ireland and Romania. I have extensive experience working in the area of disability as Educational Psychologist and Senior Social Worker.

I have worked with children, families, groups and individuals with various disabilities/difficulties from a systemic perspective.

My practice as systemic family therapist includes specialist intervention to individuals, families and groups experiencing disability, bereavement and feelings associated with loss, coping with illness and disability, trauma issues, relationship issues, mental health issues, family and couples work, depression, anxiety, separation issues.

I also offer specialist work in the following areas: parenting, autism consultancy, autism informative sessions for parents, support groups for parents who have children with autism.
