Mary practiced as a solicitor in both commercial practice and with the Legal Aid Board before training as a mediator. She is therefore very familiar with the difficulties and inadequacies of the court system. She has years of experience working with separating couples and families and is a strong advocate of mediation as an alternative to court. In addition to working with separating couples and families, Mary is an experienced commercial mediator and also works as a mediator for the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman.
Mary is a Certified Member of the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII). In addition to running her own practice in the Novara Centre, she is also an active volunteer mediator for Community Law and Mediation in both Wicklow and Dublin and a lecturer and tutor with the Law Society of Ireland’s Diploma in Mediator Training course.
