BSc, Dip Yoga Alliance, Dip ITEC

I began practising Yoga in 2000 and fell in love with it from my first class. I loved the way practising Asana (Yoga postures) & Pranayama (breath awareness) released tension from the body & in turn brought deep relaxation & peace of mind. Through my yoga practice & studies to be a massage therapist & aromatherapist, I came to recognise the connection between the body, mind & spirit & our inter-connectedness with the universal energy.

In 2005 I felt guided to deepen my knowledge & experience of yoga & undertook teacher training in the Elbowroom with Anthony Kearney, Lisa Wilkinson & Jaananda. I completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher Training course & hold a Diploma from the Yoga Alliance. In 2006 I went on to study Perinatal Yoga with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli through the Birthlight Foundation.

I find that regular Yoga practice brings me peace, keeps my body and mind open & strong and my spirit alive. I have been teaching since 2006 as a way of sharing the gift of yoga with others. My classes incorporate Breathwork (Pranayama), Yoga Postures (Asana) & Relaxation (Yoga Nidra) with a strong focus on using the breath to help access postures & focus the mind to bring clarity, deep relaxation & well-being – body, mind & soul come into balance.

I feel privileged to have studied with many inspiring yoga teachers including Anthony Kearney, Matthew Sweeney, Danny Paradise, Ray Treacy, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Donna Farhi along the way.

In 2011 I completed a 100 hour Anusara Yoga Immersion with I Love Yoga Ireland, studying with some of the most gifted & skilled Certified Anusara Yoga Teachers: Noah Maze, Betsey Downing & Deb Neubauer. I have also studied with other inspiring Certified Anusara Yoga teachers including Christy Nones, Martin Kirk, Desiree Rumbaugh, Peter Goodman, Kenny Graham & John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga.

In 2011 I also completed a training course in Kids & Family Yoga with Rainbow Kids Yoga.

I continue to attend yoga classes & workshops to deepen my knowledge & understanding of Yoga.

I teach from my heart & from my own experience. I am deeply grateful to all the people I have met on my yoga journey with whom I have shared so much & from whom I have learnt so much.
